I am a leadership advisor, coach and trainer to clients that seek growth. As an athlete, I led the Austrian Men’s Lacrosse National Team to the 2010 World Championships as their team captain. This experience taught me that teams and organizations can be much more than the sum of its individuals.
I spent the last decade working as a strategy and leadership advisor at McKinsey & Company. I learned that organizations don’t change, but people do. I thereby specialize in coaching executive teams to achieve high performance, and thus create impact at scale in their organization. I work with clients of all levels, ages, and industries, focusing on enabling changes at an individual and team level, that will unlock performance and create value at an organizational level.
My clients tell me they appreciate the combination of deeply understanding both the business, as well as the human side. I bring reliability, structure, pragmatism and humor to seemingly abstract and ‘soft’ topics, and always connect them to my clients’ business context. My approach is action oriented and simple, and at the same time grounded in neuroscience and academic research.
I lecture at University St. Gallen in their Master and executive MBA programs and hold a Master in International Business from WU-Wien, as well as an MBA from INSEAD. Being an avid learner myself, I developed my own method for learning foreign languages. This has helped me become fluent in six languages, and reach conversational level in another four. In my early life, I tutored children, juveniles and young adults and coached sports teams to awaken dormant potential and unlock performance.
I joyfully live with my wife Michaela and my sons Jakob (3.5y) and Vincent (1.5y) in Maienfeld, Switzerland, the home of the children’s book character Heidi. We have yet to meet her, although we spend much time in the mountains hiking and skitouring.
While I facilitate mostly in English and German, I occasionally facilitate also in French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
