I assist leaders, teams and organizations reach their highest potential. This includes the design and implementation of change strategies for organizations, alignment of teams, and the development of leaders.
In these sessions I challenge current mindsets and behaviors, and identify the necessary skills required to ensure behavior changes are sustained over the longer term – be it at individual, team or organization level. I pay particular attention to capacity building within client organizations, to ensure that the skills required for behavior changes are sustained.
After a few years in a large South African corporate, I moved to a global implementation consulting firm. As I became engaged in managing projects, and client development work, my interests shifted to include people, not merely technical solutions. This led me to return to university to study psychology, and I became a licensed clinical psychologist in 1999.
In 2004 I was invited to participate in Facilitator Development Program with Gita Bellin, sponsored by McKinsey. Following this, I served both clients and firm learning. This has included leadership, team and facilitator development; as well as the design, development and implementation of a variety of mindsets and behaviors initiatives.
In addition, I participated in a wide range of projects, including a large budget, high profile Brand South Africa initiative after the end of Apartheid; coaching radical left wing political leaders, and representing South Africa on a UN task team on reproductive health.
Following my PhD in 2010, I joined the faculty (adjunct) at a business school in South Africa and a psychology department in the UK, teaching and supervising graduate students. I sit on the advisory board of a financial services firm, with a special focus on high net worth families. I have initiated a community based project in Johannesburg schools – fathering daughters. I am an active member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), having served on the chapter exco, leading the education portfolio (2013).
In June 2016, I moved with my wife, and 2 children from South Africa to the US to broaden our horizons. I am an avid soccer follower, having supported Leeds United since 1970.
