I love inspiring people to embark on their own wellbeing journey and unlock the great energy within. This is a journey I have been on myself for over 20 years, from my time as a visiting researcher at Stanford through pioneering wellbeing teaching at some of the world’s best business schools to helping tens of thousands of leaders change their approach to a busy business life.
I’ve explored the intricacies of workplace health, wellbeing and performance in a trilogy of books; The Daily Reset (2022), Chief Wellbeing Officer (2018), and Sustaining Executive Performance (2014). I have a PhD and Master’s degree in design thinking and virtual teams and am a former elite multi-sport athlete and Duathlon Champion (Triathlon for bad swimmers!) having trained with Tour de France cyclists and Olympic track athletes.
Collaborating with McKinsey since 2017 I take a highly practical, non-threatening approach to health and wellbeing, using my own vulnerability as a means for people to consider their own potential for change. Within the context of positive leadership and culture I take people on a journey from leading self to leading others and from the what to the how of sustainable behaviour change. I love getting into deep nature, and generally hanging out with my family, both indoors and out. I married my childhood sweetheart and we live in Barcelona with our young son and Old English Sheepdog.
