My work focuses on building great leadership teams and coaching senior executives, in an international business context.
I help my clients to (re)discover their purpose and passion, which allows them to make courageous choices from which they benefit professionally and personally. I enjoy working in that space where business and personal worlds come together.
I bring a sense of calm and quiet to those around me, to unravel the complexity we face. I connect opposites in my work: engagement and objectivity, intuition and analysis, drive and relaxation, seriousness and play.
The first eight years of my career were with McKinsey & Company, before holding international management positions at Unisys and TomTom. In 2006, I moved to Boer & Croon to specialize in leadership development work, before starting my own practice and subsequently co–founding Aberkyn.
I hold an MSc in Information Technology from Delft Technical University and an MBA from INSEAD. My education in executive coaching took place at the MMS Institute.
My wife Viviane and I are thankful parents to three boys. I love being in the mountains, and stay fit through swimming, cycling and running. I enjoy quiet dinners with family and friends. I used to be a board member and trail facilitator for the Natural Leadership Foundation, which organizes leadership wilderness trails in remote parts of Africa and the Alps – a passion I am keen to re–activate within Aberkyn in 2016.
